Finding people who understand shouldn’t depend on living near a big city. If you’re LGBTQ+, a parent, or someone trying to support a person you love, PFLAG’s chapter finder and virtual-meeting directory are worth a look.

You don’t need a perfect speech before reaching out. Start with a simple question about who a meeting is for and what to expect. If captions, step-free access, or another accommodation would help, ask the organizer before attending rather than assuming it’s available.
